Daniel DuVerney, a native Chicagoan, began his early photography career, enlisting in the U.S. Army after high school, he served as a photographer for NATO while stationed in Europe. Daniel's duties included photographing dignitaries, diplomats and upper echelon officers as part of his work for European and U.S. military publications.
After military service, Daniel furthered his education at Columbia College (Graphic Design), and Ray-Vogue College of Photography, graduating with honors. Daniel then began working, as a photographer's assistant at various Chicago studios before opening his own studio in 1982.
Daniel has photographed models and actors, both national and international, who have appeared on television and in major motion pictures. Executives and politicians have never looked better on digital. Fashion designers have also sought his services on national and international levels. Currently, Daniel works with many of Chicago's musical talents, and artists with styles ranging from ROCK to RAP, R&B, LATIN, POP and GOSPEL. Music promotional shots and ALBUM/CD covers.
Daniel's Photographic artistry has graced such magazine covers as: UPSCALE, PASSION INTERNATIONAL HAIR MAGAZINE, NUESTRA IMAGEN HISPANA, SOPHISTICATE'S BLACK HAIR, N'DIGO, PRIDE MAGAZINE (food issue), and the Polish fashion magazines EXPRESS and ON. Client's ads have appeared in VOGUE, HARPER'S BAZAAR, and SALON SENSE and ALLURE magazines.
Currently Daniel is working on assignment at the Hines VA Hospital as a Visual Information Specialist and acting Public Affairs assistant, helping to promote all the good that is being done for our United States Veterans, "One of my best achievements and very proud to work for and with Veterans.".
